week beginning 14th dec

once our play had been selected and agreed on by all actors, we must all familiarise ourselves with the chosen play: Gemini. we decided to use the Christmas break productively, by reading through the play several times. we also set dates to meet up during the study leave period.



week beginning 4th jan:

group decided on a section of the play to be fair to each cast member, considering the 5minutes minimum stage time per actor. we also researched our play to find out about its background and setting.



week beginning 11th jan

during study leave.

our production group met up and read through the section. we did this several times during the study leave sessions including a timed read through.



week beginning 25th jan

as our practitioner is Stanislavski, we must consider the role of each character in depth, which is why for the next week we worked on characters feeling - and how they would portray certain feelings and emotions.

week beginning 1st feb

maintaining our in depth character research, we decided to do certain activities to see how our character would react in certain situations - we did this through role play and hot seating.

week beginning 8th of feb

we decided to map out our rough stage. during this week we did a number of 0ff text improvisations.

week beginning 15th feb

on text improvisation.

week beginning 22nd feb

we went through our costume and props list. we also set a deadline for lines to be learnt as the performance date is coming up.
